Supporting Veterans and Military Families

We want our stores to be places where everyone feels welcome, an ethos that extends to our hiring practices. From refugees to people with disabilities, we value the distinct life experience and perspective each partner brings the company.

Particularly close to our hearts are veterans of the United States military who might be struggling to transition to civilian life, or military spouses who find themselves starting over in a new city. Since 2013, we’ve found a way to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for their country: we’ve hired them.

In an effort to bridge the divide between military families and civilians in our communities, we’ve also designated special Military Family Stores located near major bases. These stores are gathering spaces where members of the military community connect with one another, especially during deployments. They also work with nonprofit organizations that can help veterans re-enter the workforce or navigate complicated benefits applications.
